ESL tonearms by Ortofon made in Denmark for US market
9" inch pivot to stylus same length as ortofon SMG 212 . but with spring
loaded tracking pressure , after balancing with the counterweight, is known
as dynamic tracking force. ESL/Ortofon boasted how their arms would track
properly, even at crazy, non-level angles, due to the spring loaded dynamic
tracking .
The arm uses ball bearings throughout for all vertical and horizontal
motions. This assures smoother operation, increased record life and longer,
trouble free performance. the collar of this arm using diamond shape 4 pins
arrangement simular to EMT type arm /headshell . I'm sure you can use this
arm with EMT headshell . the headshell come with this arm is exactly the
same as the one come with the ortofon SPU GTE . but as I said the pins
arrangement is diamond shape instead , condition of this sample is excellent
throughout with long arm wires . the build quality on this arm is superb .
much better looking than the regular SMG 212 Ortofon.
